Stan Culp won his second ABT title by defeating Sheldon Mathis 236-177 at Brunswick Zone River Grove. In match one of the stepladder finals Steve Koszola defeated Charles Kerr 218-206. In match two Steve Koszola defeated Matt Stock 237-210. In match three Sheldon Mathis defeated Steve Koszola 175-161 to advance to the title match against top seed Stanford Culp. In the championship match Stan used a 4-bagger in frames 2-5 to build a commanding lead and Sheldon was never able to cut into it with Stan cruising to the 236-177 final score. Champion’s Profile: Stan Culp is 55 years old and employed as a salesman for Packaging Plus. He has 5 grown children, Keith, Khalil, Malinda, Vicki, and Georell. Stan has been bowling for 12 years and bowls league at Castaways in Calumet City. He has a high game of 298 and a 714 high series to his credit. Stan was rolling a Track Animal drilled at the New Image Pro Shop in Dolton. He credits Joe Nemcek and CJ Jones as having helped him to improve his game. Stan thanked the ABT and Brunswick Zone River Grove for having the event along with Tim Culp and his family for their support. Stan said his winnings would be used for more ABT events and he dedicated his win to his fiancée Angeflora. CONGRATULATIONS Stan!
