Hank Duncan won his fourth ABT title by defeating Darrell Lewis 210-191 at Lakewood Bowl. Tommie Smith opened the stepladder finals by defeating Chris Whitaker 189-185. Tommie then defeated Brett Bukowinski 179-170 before falling to Darrell Lewis 197-185. In the title match Hank Duncan turkeyed to start the match wiping out Darrell’s 12-pin handicap advantage. Hank held a 9-pin lead after 8 frames and when Darrell missed a 10-pin in frame 9 his fate was sealed as Hank went on to win by the final score of 210-191. Champion’s Profile: Hank Duncan is 55 years old and employed as a food technician. He is married to Juanita and has 3 children Jada, Jorri and Aja. Hank has been bowling for 38 years and bowls leagues at Dolton, MLK and Castaways. His high game is 300 and he has a high series of 824 to his credit. Hank was using a Brunswick Inferno drilled by Jose Torres. He thanked the ABT and Lakewood Bowl for having the tournament. Hank said his winnings would be used for the Hoinke Classic and other ABT events.
