Wayne Warpinski worked his way past four opponents at Wheaton Bowl to claim his first ABT title. Wayne started his climb by defeating Marti Stolarski 242-180. Wayne then defeated Paul Johnson 230-204 and Tony Sokolowski 201-174 to advance to the championship match against top seed Linda Reardon. Linda struggled in the title match and Wayne was able to cruise to the 228-158 victory. Champion’s Profile: Wayne Warpinski is 54 years old (today!) and employed as a truck driver for Ferguson Enterprises. He has been bowling for 42 years and bowls league at Wheaton Bowl. Wayne has a high game of 248 and a 658 high series to his credit. He was using a Storm Vertigo drilled by Dan Baker at D&D Pro Shop inside Wheaton Bowl. Wayne credits Dan Baker as having helped his game saying he couldn’t have won without him. He thanked his mother for her support, D&D Pro Shop, the ABT, and Wheaton Bowl. Wayne said he just bought a new house so the winnings would come in handy to pay some bills. CONGRATULATIONS Wayne!Tournament Notes: This weeks’ raffle winner was Al Legan.
