Johnny Hall won his second ABT title by defeating Rick Wunder 183-174 at AMF Rolling Meadows. Johnny qualified 3rd for the top 8 finals and advanced by defeating Mike Foglestad 224-215 and Alfredo Rivera 208-192. Rick was the top qualifier and he advanced with victories over Roy Franklin 252-189 and Ice Whitaker 202-201. The title match entered the 10th frame in a dead heat. Johnny doubled and counted 9 leaving Rick with a chance to win with a turkey. Rick nailed the first strike but sent his second shot wide making Johnny the winner by the final score of 183-174. Champion’s Profile: Johnny Hall is 43 years old and employed as a laborer. He is married to Peppa and they have 3 children, Lashanda, Keysha, and Johnny. Johnny has bowling for about 30 years and bowls league at Woodview Lanes. His high game is 299 and he has a 772 high series to his credit. Johnny was using a Frankie May Gryphon drilled by Joe Bacagaluppi at Back to Basics Pro Shop. He said that his wife and Kevin Wells have helped him with his game. Johnny thanked the ABT and AMF Rolling Meadows, all the spectators who cheered him on, and Mike Pompa for letting him use his easy slide. Johnny also thanked God for giving him the strength to win the tournament and he said his winnings would go towards an anniversary celebration. CONGRATULATIONS Johnny!
