Jerome Woodfork won his first ABT title by defeating Robert Finder 234-174 at Woodview Lanes. Robert Finder opened the stepladder finals by defeating Cindy Taylor 214-212. Robert then defeated Lynn Koenen 200-194 and Hank Duncan 188-155 to advance to the championship match against top seed Jerome Woodfork. Jerome turkeyed to start the title match building a 20-pin lead after 3 frames and he never looked back going on to win by the final score of 234-172. Champion’s Profile: Jerome Woodfork is 54 years old and employed as a mechanic. He has a 22-year-old son named Jerron and has been bowling for 30 years. Jerome currently bowls leagues in the Rockford area and has a high game of 300 and an 800 high series to his credit. He was using a Brunswick Vapor Zone drilled at Reaction Pro Shop. Jerome credits Greg Evans, Ray Evans, and Tony Hall as having helped him to improve his game. He thanked Ted Pierce, the ABT, and Woodview Lanes.
