Nancy Castrogiovanni won her first ABT title by defeating Adam Sanchez 232-211 at Bowling Green Sports Center. David West opened the stepladder finals by defeating Tony Godek Jr. 214-194. Nancy Castrogiovanni then defeated David West 204-199 and Tony Sokolowski 212-188 to advance to the championship match against top seed Adam Sanchez. Adam took an early lead in the title match but Nancy turkeyed in frames 3-5 then stayed clean the rest of the way to win by the final score of 231-211. Champion’s Profile: Nancy Castrogiovanni is a 57-year-old housewife. She is married to Phil and they have 3 grown children, Bill, Tricia, and Kari. Nancy has been bowling for 24 years and currently bowls league at Brunswick Zone Lakeside. She has a high game of 252 and a 635 high series to her credit. Nancy was using a Storm Super Power drilled by George Gervais at Star Pro Shop in Addison. She said her husband Phil taught her to bowl. Nancy thanked the ABT staff and directors for running a well-organized program. She said her winnings would be used for a new ball and more tournaments.
