Joe Ambrosini won his first ABT title by defeating Scott Morris 231-220 at Strike’ N Spare II. Cliff Senkpiel opened the stepladder finals by defeating Kevin Hanik 256-218. Tom Finnen Jr. then defeated Cliff Senkpiel 263-196 before being edged out by Joe Ambrosini 251-250. In the title match Joe struck in the first 3 frames to build a 34-pin lead over top seed Scott Morris. Scott came back and entering the final frame the lead was down to 9 pins. Needing a turkey for a tie Scott struck on his first ball but the 10 pin refused to fall on his second shot making Joe the winner by the final score of 231-220. Champion’s Profile: Joe Ambrosini is 25 years old and employed as an electrician foreman for local 701. He is married to Kate and has been bowling for 5 years. Joe currently bowls league at Strike’ N Spare II and has a high game of 300 to go along with a 780 high series. He was using an Ebonite XXXL drilled by Rich Moores at Players Corner Pro Shop. Joe thanked his wife and friends who cheered him on during the finals along with the ABT and Strike’ N Spare II for having the tournament. Joe said that this weekend was great and it was the first time he made the finals. congratulations Joe!
