Norman White won his first ABT title by defeating Bob Vandrey 245-229 at AMF Bolingbrook Lanes. Jeff Coleman opened the stepladder finals by defeating Jon Sanchez 252-238. In match two Paul Johnson defeated Jeff Coleman 190-171. In match three Norman White defeated Paul Johnson 257-231 to advance to the title match against top seed Bob Vandrey. The championship match was close at the halfway mark but Bob missed 2 spare opportunities in the second half of the match while Norman stayed clean to win by the final score of 245-229. Champion’s Profile: Norman White is 58 years old and employed as a senior tech rep for Dupont. He is married to Brenda and they have a 25-year-old daughter, Shameika. Norman has been bowling for 26 years and currently bowls league at Stardust Bowl. He has a high game of 289 and a 791 high series to his credit. Norman was using a Storm Paradigm drilled by Craig Szplett at Starr Pro Shoppe inside Palos Lanes. Besides bowling, Norman also enjoys traveling. Norman thanked his wife Brenda for her support and everyone who bowls in the ABT. He said his winnings would be used for traveling. congratulations Norman!
