Anthony Weidenfeller won his third ABT title by defeating Craig Mueller 215-172 at Stardust Bowl. In match one of the stepladder finals Rich Flood defeated Mike Martenson Sr. 213-208. In match two Anthony Weidenfeller defeated Rich Flood 233-185. In match three Anthony Weidenfeller defeated Rich Arens 226-191 to advance to the championship match against top seed Craig Mueller. The title match was decided quickly as Craig opened in frames 3-5 to fall behind by 52 pins allowing Anthony to cruise to the final 215-173 victory. Champion’s Profile: Anthony Weidenfeller is 26 years old and employed as the pro shop manager at Fair Haven Lanes. He has been bowling for 12 years and bowls leagues at Fair Haven and Hawthorn Lanes. His high game is 300 and he has a 798 high series to his credit. Anthony was using a Storm Screaming Banshee that he drilled himself. He credits Jim Gochis as having helped him to improve his game. Anthony thanked everyone who cheered him on during the finals along with the ABT and Stardust for having the event. He said his winnings would be used for bills and that he’d like to see more of our Masters participating. CONGRATULATIONS Anthony!
