Tim Liebelt won his first ABT title by defeating Matt Sanchez 222-204 at AMF Valley Bowl. In match one of the stepladder finals Nick Misner defeated Steve Koszola 236-227. In match two Matt Sanchez defeated Nick Misner 253-206. In match three Matt Sanchez defeated Rich Moores 216-175 to earn his shot at top seed Tim Liebelt. The lead changed hands several times in the title match but a double for Tim in the final frame gave him the edge he needed for the 222-204 victory.

Champion’s Profile: Tim Liebelt is 37 years old and employed as an operations manager for Flint Ink. He is married to Jodi and they have 2 children, Jared and Jordyn, ages 9 and 6. Tim has been bowling for 30 years and has a high game of 300 and an 811 high series to his credit. He was using a Roto Grip Oracle Vision drilled by Chuck Eberhardt. Besides bowling Tim also enjoys coaching youth sports, golf, and music. He thanked Matt Stock and his son Jared for their support. Tim said his winnings would be used for more ABT events and some patio furniture for his wife.
