Steve Bequest won his second ABT title by defeating Tim Culp 221-216 at Eskape Entertainment Center. In match one of the stepladder finals Tim Culp defeated John F. Scaletta 272-202. In match two Tim defeated Matt Stock 265-239. In match three Tim defeated Bill Monce 235-225 to advance to the title match against top seed Steve Bequest. In the championship match Tim held a 7-pin lead after six frames but a rail in frame seven gave Steve the opening he needed to come from behind for the 221-216 victory. Champion’s Profile: Steve Bequest is 45 years old and employed as a project manager for Environmental Systems. He is married to Amy and they have two children, Joe and Sami, ages 13 and 11. Steve has been bowling for 28 years and currently bowls league at Burnham Bowl. His high game is 300 and he has an 827 high series to his credit. He was using a Columbia Big Bully drilled by Dwight Albright at B&G Pro Shop. He thanked Art Gerschwiler for his support. Steve said his winnings would be used for more ABT tournaments. Even though he lives in Wisconsin Steve said that he enjoys bowling in the Chicagoland Branch.
